Welcome to the website of Sedar Fred Pougaza. I am an experienced professional with expertise in economics, financial literacy, education, statistics, and educational technology leadership. As a university professor, an analyst, a researcher, and an administrator, I am passionate about using technology and effective leadership to enhance learning, teaching, and workplace performance. I firmly believe that innovative tools and leadership have the capability of transforming education and empowering learners from all backgrounds.
I have been teaching Economics, Financial Literacy, Foreign Trade, Real Estate, and Business Statistics at New Jersey City University since 2017. I also began teaching Economics, International Trade, and International Money and Finance at Stockton University in 2021. I have also taught at Union County College, Essex County College, and Wagner College in the United States. In the summer of 2019, I had the exciting opportunity to teach university-level classes (Money and Banking, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Selected Studies) in Shanghai, China. Each teaching experience has widened my horizon and reinforced my commitment to student-centered learning and leadership building. I pursued a doctoral degree in Economics at The New School University (The New School for Social Research) in New York in the United States of America, and I hold two Master's degrees in Economics from The New School for Social Research and Université de Cocody-Abidjan. In addition to my academic degrees in Economics, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership at New Jersey City University. My multidisciplinary education propels my research in the area of using technology to improve education, workplace productivity, and support to the underprivileged societies. I have, over the years, written articles and book chapter and presented research papers on economics, finance, and educational technology leadership. I am fluent in French, Sango, and English with conversational Spanish. I have experience with education technology tools, data analysis, and statistical software, survey design, and project design. My areas of leadership are educational administration, program development, and community engagement.
Beyond academia, I have many interests that keep me energized and inspired. I enjoy running, biking, outdoor physical activity, reading, writing, singing, listening to good music, watching documentaries, volunteering, traveling, going to conferences and concerts, and exploring nature.
This website is a space where I share what I am learning in the field of Educational Technology Leadership and showcase the work I am doing. Please feel free to explore the site and connect with me – I’m always happy to chat! Merci Beaucoup!
