Sedar Fred Pougaza is an accomplished professional with expertise in economics, financial literacy, education, statistics, and educational technology leadership. He is a University professor, analyst, researcher, writer, administrator, and educational technology leader who is passionate about using technology and leadership to enhance learning, teaching, and workplace performance.


He has been an Adjunct professor of Economics, Finance Literacy, Business Statistics, at New Jersey City University in the United States since 2017 and at Stockton University in the United States since 2021 and Union County College since 2017. He has taught United States university – level courses Money and Banking, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and credit selected studies for summer 2019 in Shanghai, China. He pursued doctoral studies in Economics at The New School University (The New School for Social Research) in New York, United States. 

He earned the Master’s degree in Economics from New School University and Master’s degree in Economics from Université de Cocody-Abidjan. He pursued doctoral studies in Economics at The New School University  - The New School for Social Research in New York.  He is also completing a doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership in the Department of Educational Technology at New Jersey City University, New Jersey, United States. He has been using my research and service interest in under-served communities.  

He has been publishing articles and book chapter on topics in economics, finance and educational technology leadership. He is fluent in French, Sango, and English. He also has some knowledge of Spanish. He has visited many countries in the world. He likes jogging, exercising, volunteering, traveling, riding a bicycle, reading, writing, singing, watching documentaries, playing sports, and exploring the nature.   • Accomplished the goals of encouraging students to complete their studies by getting many students to register for classes and complete their studies at New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Stockton University. Some of my students graduated from NJCU, Stockton University and some colleges and universities I have been teaching at.

  • I have been using gamification to improve learning and teaching of financial literacy and economics since 2021 at university level.
